Music Review: This is an absolute must - the moods, the beats - unrivaled

This is an experience of atmospheric tracks, different beats of an ethic diversity that takes you unknowingly on a trip around the world in a very comfortable fashion. Listen to Sting's Brand New Day (which he has just released), and you'll see where he got the idea from. This album predates Sting by 5 years and where he uses Indian beats and Sitar, McLaren uses Middle Eastern Soufi beats (on one track) to greater effect. The second disc which is an instrumental mix of the first disc shows where dance music is now heading after it has chewed up and spat out the already regurgitated Latin beat.

Quite honestly a seminal album that MUST be in your collection even though I largely hate the more music spoof,commercial rubbish McLaren has produced in his time. Buy it, listen to it and you'll be as surprised as I was.

P.S. I don't know Malcolm personally (this ain't propaganda)
