Music Review: A Dancefloor Classic.
Rating: 4 Stars

This set is trademark Patrick Adams with it's lush, soaring strings, percolating rhythms and driving beat.. Who can forget "In The Bush"?..with it's addictive rhythm and suggestive vocal. Included here is the Francois K. remix which enhances the song with a more spacious arrangement and gives the track a stronger beat and bass for the dancefloor. "Keep On Jumpin'" (the title-track) is an overlooked disco classic with its beautifully soaring string and horn arrangements and multi-layered percussion, making this the definite standout of this set. The Francois K. remix adds some synthesized effects to enhance an otherwise excellent track. "Summer Love" and "Summer Love Theme" (the same song with "Summer Love Theme" being the reprise) are the slower numbers, but classic disco epics nonetheless, with a glowing instrumental arrangement and a lovely chorus. Although, I feel they could have built lyrically on the theme of these two songs. The Radio edits included here are somewhat redundant, and are generally less appealing, compressing the song into 3 minute radio tracks, which they clearly weren't meant to be.

Patrick Adams later went on to produce another album for Musique called "Musique II" with different vocalists..Overall, this set is a great example of classic dance music.. with it's synthesized elements complimenting live instrumentation paired with tight arrangements.. something which you don't hear very often in today's dance music...or today's music in general..

These 3-4 track disco-production albums were all the rage "back in the day". The remixes were wisely added to take advantage of the space on the CD format, but despite this; it's perhaps not appropriate for casual pop-disco listeners interested in the hits, but highly recommended for disco/dance music enthusiasts.
