Music Reviews of Little Honey

Music Review: Music for grown-ups
Rating: 5 Stars

Lucinda Williams' CD "Little Honey" is so good, that I cannot think of the right words to say. I wish that I could. This CD has something for most adults who are looking for a variety of music (rock, country, blues, etc.) I've had this CD for more than a year, and I still play it on a regular basis. (note to Lucinda; MORE PLEASE!!)

Music Review: A return to rocking form
Rating: 4 Stars

After last year's West this is a return to the rocky Lucinda of earlier albums, but without losing the opportunity for introspection on the slower numbers. She also shares her humor and sense of fun on several tracks, especially the duet with Elvis Costello.
If you enjoyed Car Wheels on a Gravel Road this one is for you.

Music Review: Strong rock - wry and sweet.
Rating: 4 Stars

I'm a newcomer to Lucinda Williams songwriting strengths, so "Little Honey" reinforces my breakthrough to the surprising subtleties under her rough rocking veneer. Clever and sweet, direct and honest lyrics are the qualities that win me to her fan club, adding to the "Real Love" she must inspire in more place than one....

Music Review: Disappointing music from an Amazon Suggestion
Rating: 1 Stars

I have to say that the suggestions I have gotten from Amazon have been pretty good. This one totally missed the mark. There were no samples to listen to when I ordered so I did it on faith. The album was boring and the music was repackaged and uncreative. I only played it once and retired it.

Music Review: Almost Car Wheels
Rating: 5 Stars

Finally, Lu gets back to her bluesy roots with some of her most upbeat songs in a decade. If "Little Honey" doesn't get you moving, you need to check your pulse. Also, there is some wonderful, understated guitar work by Tom Pettibone throughout. Buy this record. You won't be disappointed.
