What happens to the children with HIV or AIDS in the United States, many of them orphaned by AIDS-infected parents? Locating them, finding homes for them and caring for them is the mission of the Children With AIDS Project, based in Phoenix, Arizona. They recruit families to adopt HIV children and drug-addicted infants. They provide a network of support services to the families participating in the program. They seek out families to become adoptive parents to children of AIDS victims prior to the parents' death. And they constantly search for more of the "Forgotten Children" around the country in need of homes and care.
