Music Review: Not like the DVD & VHS Soundtracks.

My little one (now 20 Months - I first reviewed this when she was 18 Months) ADORES Fisher Price Little People. She knows them all by name, watches the DVDs and VHS movies, has almost every set. We love to encourage her to play with the Little People and my husband (Marketing) and I (Teacher) sing right along with Aaron Neville & the Little People during each of the wonderful shows. So when I found, "Songs & Games for the Road," I was very excited about taking it home. I started the tape up in the car but both she and I cringed. I was sooo dissapointed with the entire tape - it was filled with fast-paced, band music and super exuberant forced singing by the Little People characters. Not at all like the soft, mellow voice of Aaron Neville or the gentle, melodies of the Discovery episodes, which is what I had expected to hear.
My daughter had just turned 15 Months at the time I purchased this tape and is now 20 Months. We still do not like the tape, it's just too loud and vibrantly annoying for either of us to handle. If your child likes fast-paced music - then this might work for you. But if you're looking for melodic sounds similar to the Little People VHS & DVDs - this is not it.
