Music Review: Delight in the diverse.

This is one of the most enjoyable cds in my collection and every track is a delight! The instruments are diverse and include accordeon, ukulele, oud and musical saw as well as the more conventional pianos, saxophones and guitars.The musicians swing like mad and communicate the joy they obviously have scattin', playing the blues, Hawaiian, waltzes, and French tunes which are so redolent of Gaulois cigarettes that the listener almost becomes a passive smoker! Add a great cover drawn by the brilliant Robert Crumb (who also plays mandolin and banjo on the disc) and you have a cd which will lift the spirits of all who have the good luck to hear it - or better still, to own it.
