Music Review: Reaches a new level

I think this is Les's best work to date. There's violins, tribal drums, heavy bass and crackked out lyrics. What more could you ask for? this could've just as easily been a Bungle album. I mean that as a compliment of the highest level! heck, he even sounds like Patton to me at times, umm, Kazoo. I've been out of the les loop since Pork Soda b/c I thought they've all been crap after that one. But he really nailed this one. It's layered alot, so don't expect to get this on the first listen. It will grow on you as you listen more and understand what's happening musically and if not, then wrap your lips around a booong and I'm sure it'll begin to sound just fine.
Description of Of Fungi and Foe
2009 release from the Bass playing legend and leader of Primus. Since his last album release, 2006's Of Whales and Woe, Les has been busy with his films, scoring other people's films, scoring video games and just having fun out on tour. This album is a collection of songs inspired by the projects he has been working on over the past few year. Also on this album is a jam session with Eugene Hutz, the charismatic front-man of the band Gogol Bordello that turned into the track 'Bite Out Of Life'. 12 tracks.General CDs
