Music Review: Ay, Dios nos libre!

I really wanted to give this CD four or five stars. Then I listened to Magnetismo. UGH! What was he thinking? The Spanish vocals are ATROCIOUS. I don't think I've heard anyone butcher Spanish so badly. It was laughable and totally unnecessary. Who told this young man he could sing in Spanish? My ears are still hurting! What a disaster.
My advice to Landon, do yourself a favor and listen to Eydie Gorme sing with Trio Los Panchos. Now that is the ultimate example of an English speaker who can sing fluently in Spanish.
On a positive note, Landon's vocals are earnest and somewhat reminiscent of David Gates, the great lead singer from the 70's group Bread. Coffee Shop is a lovely and sweet love song that evokes (for me, at least) memories of innocent love. His vocals are smooth are heartfelt.
Landon, please stay away from the Spanish!
