Music Review: Solid debut album, but a lot of it has been released before

I read a review of this album online and it said something to the effect of "her hardcore fans may not like it because it is essentially a compilation of songs from her earlier works with a few new things". That's pretty accurate. Now, I am not a "hardcore" Lady Sovereign fan but I heard about her months ago and decided to check her out- I'm not a rap fan but I was hooked. Anyway, I have heard many of the songs before but I guess since I'm not "hardcore" it doesn't seem like a complete re-release to me. Here's a quick song-by-song breakdown:
9 to 5 (10/10): Great opening track and possibly my favorite one off of the CD. Definitely gets you hooked.
Gatheration (8/10): Starts off kind of average but gets better as the song goes along.
Random (9/10): The track I first heard months ago that turned me on to Lady Sovereign. It's one of the key tracks on the CD without a doubt. I probably would give it a 10 if not for the fact that I've been listening to it for months. Love how she takes jabs at rappers in this one.
Public Warning (7/10): I don't like the chorus very much but the verses are pretty good. It changes pace a lot and that's definitely cool
Love Me Or Hate me (10/10): The first single off of the CD and very good. Even though SOV's catalog isn't very expansive yet, this is one of her best. Pretty witty, catchy, and fun.
My England (6/10): I would say it's a 4 or 5 but the lyrics are pretty good. Without the pretty good lyrics and a semi-decent chorus, the song is pretty much filler.
Tango (6/10): Unlike the last song it sounds pretty good but the whole thing is just about bashing chicks with fake tans. I guess I'm lost on this...others may find it funny though.
A Little Bit Of Shhh (7/10): Not bad, but definitely not great. A solid track, but nothing that will totally impress you or blow you away. Definitely not memorable either.
Hoodie (9/10): Another song that was previously released. Goes from a good verse to an extremely catchy chorus. Most of these songs are catchy, but this chorus is pretty hard to get out of your head. I guess some may find that annoying but I like the song.
Those Were The Days (8/10): A little corny i guess, but it has a decent message and it has a good beat and good music; her voice on this one contributes to it as well.
Blah Blah (9/10): Another one of the key tracks from the CD. An very cool 'Kill Bill'-esque intro for the first 11 seconds or so. The song basically criticizes her critics which is always fun, add that to her typically catchy and interesting music and you get something good.
Fiddle With The Volume (7/10): Again, this is one that's definitely not bad but doesn't stand out. Slower than the other songs so it's interesting in that it's different from the others. Pretty good lyrically.
Love Me Or Hate Me Remix feat. Missy Elliot (2/10): I hate Missy. When transferring this disc to my iPod, I excluded this track. The only one I'd say is just bad. If you like Missy you may like it, however.
Anyway, to sum it up:
I am not a rap fan but got into this so it's not hard to get into her music. The songs are catchy and generally have somewhat smartass, witty lyrics. Most of the people i have shared SOV's music with have really liked it and like me, most of them aren't rap fans. A good purchase and let's hope she can keep up what looks to be a promising career.
