Music Reviews of The Fame Monster [Deluxe Edition]Music Review: lipstick on a pig Rating: 1 Stars
like hey. i am lady gaga. and i present you my new album...monster. I am super proud of my first album...but this one shall cover serious topics. yes my first album was great for what it was..but this one i decided to really hone my art. the first single is called feeling on my booty (up in this club). I wrote it all by myself and like many songs on my album, it is about a monster. the monster of pretensiousness and maybe about the art of grandiose posturing.
Gaga has it good. her fame is a sign of the times. the tracks are even more formulatic pop....sometimes gaga is up in the club or maybe she is yelping about a hot boy...but if you can bare to hear her talk about the album in a interview youd imagine this album being another hounds of love.
in your dreams, honey. it takes more than squeezing into an outdated grace jones outfit and regurgitating madonnas erotica shtick to become a pop icon. lady gaga does take a sad stab at it with speechless...and the result is less than pleasing. shall we say...grating? ear splitting?
my advice to gaga: stick to what you are good at.
Music Review: The same from last year but still great. Rating: 5 Stars
The Fame came out in 2008 so if you already got it don't bother getting this that will be a waste of money plus you can get the ep by itself for like 8 bucks. The fame monster has 2 disc the first disc is the fame monster which has 8 new tracks such as bad romance ,monster,so happy I could die, which are flavs for me,this album marks the bad side of the fame, what happens after you have so much of it and the results are you become a monster,so I guess it was needed. The second disc is the original the fame from 08,You'll basically getting just dance, poker face my flav which is starstruck and etc,its great 2 have both in one case and these songs are highly addictive pops songs.Lady Gaga's vocals are great and strong, but also listen to her lyrics and I mean not poker face but other tracks where her lyrics shine.
The producing is also what makes her music great, believe me if she didn't have them the fame itself wouldn't be this good,at the end of the day you must buy this album it just has to be in your best cd collection, plus you just might buy it anyway since lady gaga can't stop promoting it.
Music Review: WHY ALL THE CONTROVERSY OVER SOME MISSING WORDS? Rating: 4 Stars
I've read most of the reviews here for The Fame Monster CD and all the outrage expressed by some over the censorship, i.e., missing filthy words. I don't understand. Well, I do actually. I'm sorry to say that I do, because I think it's a sad commentary on society that people become outraged that filthy words are missing from music and so won't buy an album or CD, even though the music is still just as wonderful. Quite frankly, most of the time when I listen to a song, I can't catch all of the lyrics I'm listening to anyway. Oh, I get most of them, but not every word - that's why nowadays I look them up on the Internet (if I really want to know what they are)...or, years back, I used to buy the albums for the album notes. I know someone will try to tell me that the artist, in this case, Lady Gaga, wrote those filthy words as part of her lyrics, and so to leave them out is a disservice and an outrage to her art - her music. Maybe. But she's allowing these versions to be sold, isn't she? Or did I miss something. I like her music; I'd never really noticed the dirty words.
Music Review: Great Music! Rating: 5 Stars
Great dance party music. The first disc (part 1) is on ligh subject but with plenty of hooks so it sounds very catchy and over all, unique in this mostly rap market right now.
Part 2 (Disc 2) is released in the following year, considered mostly like a 2nd album. This one touch on heavier subjects: about romance and the bad side of it (catching diseases, playing game. This disc is higher quality in sound (more futuristic) and the message behind it it "you 'd better be careful because sex, fame, money has its price....
This is a good deal because it actually has 2 albums combined in it. I didn't like her at first but she's deeper than you think: you see the messages differenly if you pay attention to them. I like it the fact that these days music are "explicit" are SO precious to some and they are furious if they edited a bit on the print version (CD instead of MP3). I actually prefer the "edited" version which doesn't offend anyone. I want good catchy melody and meaningful songs, the dirty lyrics don't entice me, it actually turns me off.
Music Review: Another one bites the dust Rating: 1 Stars
I wish I was writing a serious review but, I can't help but write about my own opinion especially on pop music. I cannot see how people have not connected the dots as to why young girls are suddenly more promiscuous and pregnant at young ages. It's "artists" and I use that term very loosely like this that parade around in practically nothing at all, making it seem harmless while singing a catchy song like bad romance, by the way does anyone take time to listen to lyrics anymore? And another thing I am not a woman but it seems to me that women like Ms. Gaga are giving other women around the world a bad rep. After all the struggles women had to go through to be treated as equals she certainly throws morals and values for her gender out the window. Same feelings towards other "guys", or bros as they liked to be named now. These are the types of "artists" that should be ignored I would say the same about hip hop as well but that's a given. I wish I could say these crappy trends will end, but they just recycle themselves into something worse.
