Description of 1666
1666, the first studio album from the young Belgian singer and harpist Keltia, is a mystical travel book leading to her own fantasy world. With her musicians, she creates a style of her own, mixing pop-folk, progressive, dark and baroque music with celtic and eastern sonorities. Keltia performed for the first time at the age of 16. Alone with her Celtic harp, she plays traditional airs from Ireland or French Britany and songs from Kate Bush, Clannad or Enya. Progressively, her own compositions become part of her show. This solo-period is not only a time of artistic development but also a time of precious encounters. She performs as the support act of Louisa John Krol, Francesco Banchini (GOR) and Iona. She also takes part in the British dark-wave project Seventh Harmonic. In 2004, she decided to find some musicians to accompany her and help her to develop her project. After some attempts, she eventually encounters Cécile Gonay (aka Seesayle) and Franck Marchand (aka Wiz) from Soysoy. They build up a new show, update the songs and record a new album. Keltia's music is one of a kind among French-speaking artists. With a range of influences such as Kate Bush, Bjork, Peter Gabriel, Dead Can Dance, Malicorne..., it sails between folk, rock, dark and world music.International CDs
