Music Review: Wonderful companion for morning and evening prayer

Those who know of Dr. Kathleen Deignan's many albums of religious music and of her award-winning collections of Thomas Merton's writings on nature will welcome this wonderful blending of her two talents. There are 14 prayers--seven for morning and seven for evenings--two for each day of the week. Each is 11 minutes in duration which never seemed long enough. Each prayer includes music, readings and invocations which transport the listener to a place of quiet and adoration. For those who do not have a community with which to pray, this double CD will provide a welcomed companion and treasure.
