Music Review: What Happened To The Sound?

This looks like a bargain but unfortunately they've made a real hash of the second album, "Lonely Girl". It's so awful I can't see how they could possibly have thought it was OK to release it. The sound is difficult to describe: it's as if you're listening to it underwater but it's tinny and thin as well as being muffled. Happily, "Julie Is Her Name" is listenable although still rather drab and uninvolving but I'd advise Julie London fans to give this one a miss.
