Music Review: A Serious Introspection......

One very moving part that occured was @ the end of Free Speech: Phase 2, when Aaron had kept the chords moving but slowed it down and managed to change keys. Aaron's playing at this moment was setting the stage for Our Minuet, which very much conducted itself with the style of a real minuet Jazz Style, in other words it followed the format of an original minuet. One thing that stuck out in this song was the movement of solos. The dark sounding keys were reserved for the dark instruments, like the Bass player Reuben Rogers had the 1st, then the next bright key change was followed by Aaron and ended with a supsended 4th to a major 3rd, which I felt was classic and set the mood perfectly. Next was Joshua's solo, now that he was back in the darker key he slowly built his solo up to the implied key change in which it really took off from there. His use of patterns was amazing and one delayed movement he had really reminded me of one of Charlie Parker's solos I had heard. Overall a very amazing CD you won't be disappointed with.
