Music Review: Oh how I miss NKOTB

Although I give praise for the effort that Jordan has put into this project, I have to say, it's not the same. Meaning, I do know buying this cd was all about Jordan and his versions of every song but I didn't know it was going to hit me of how much I miss the other 4 guys that truly make up NKOTB. This proves without the 5 together, you can't possible call this a New Kids cd. Jordan's renditions or remixes as the album is about, are in some parts, true to form just without the beautiful background that was Jon, Danny, Joe and Donnie. But other songs, wow...all respect to you Jordan, but a song like Hangin' Tough was just not done properly. And remember people, this is my opinion. I was and will always be a fan of this group, I spent my childhood/teen years with them. I have the fan club membership package year after year to prove it, hehe. And so of course I wanted to get this new cd. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed listening to most of it, it did bring back wonderful concert/TV memories but it just wasn't that spectacular. Of course I have to say...Jordan sounds GREAT! His voice is still B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. He still has "IT". Standing ovation for that, hitting those high notes at the age we are...well shoot I cant do it, of course I never could. But for him to still be able to do that...WOW! This shows they were a great group of guys that sometimes got a lot of crap but touched a lot of people in this world and they deserve much respect. And their songs, are still great to this day. May be considered cheese pop but still good. Jordan solo is great. Joey is great solo too (be sure to pick up the new album) and he's a pretty good actor too. Danny is actually not that bad solo, respect to him. I miss seeing Jon around, I hope he's doing good. But last but not least, our loveable Leo, Donnie...not only was he the best in the group (I know debatable depending on which guy was yours) but he has much talent in the studio, on the mic, in his family (Mark) and on the screen. HELLO BOOMTOWN! Oh how I miss watching him. Anyways...
I would recommend this album to any Jordan Knight fan. I would recommend this album if you want to relive the lyrics of NKOTB and somewhat the styles of the music. I would even recommend this album if you like different twists to old music. But if you like the guys the way they were, the music the way it was and how they sounded as a GROUP...maybe this isn't for you. I'm not upset that I bought this album, I'm actually happy only cause I got to go back in time, just with a version that I wasn't expecting. Different can be nice. And again, praise to Jordan for sounding so great. So if you want to hear Jordan sound outstanding vocally, this is something you will be interested in.
To all my fellow Blockheads....you know the guys just wanna be loved by (you) us, hehe. You all know what I'm talking about. So support solo/group.
