Music Review: Nice, but...

This CD is a very nice performance of Kreisler / Sarasate works. But, the only problem is you can hear the voice of "breath" of the violin player which is absolutely unpleasant for this performance. If you don't care the "air" sound while you are listening to the violin sound, go for it.
Description of Parlor Pieces
Jonathan Carney, former Royal Philharmonic concertmaster and current Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, is well suited to make peace with both these legends of violin repertoire. With the warmth of Kreisler and the precision of Sarasate, Carney is able to tease out the effervescence and sophistication of these decadent parlor pieces. His critics agree: "[He] turns out to be a thoroughly musical soloist, his sweet-toned contribution at once unforced and affectionate" (Gramophone). His talented pianist is also his mother, Gloria Carney, whose Juilliard training and sensitive playing make the performance worthy of more than a few careful listenings.Classical CDs
