Music Review: Poor Judgment

Two of the selections, Sunset Boulevard and Whistle Down the Wind, you can find on another of his CDs. That one i highly recommend. This one, I might not have purchased at all if I weren't a firm fan. High Flying Adored is the only worthwhile new addition, as unlike in the original Broadway soundtrack - w/Mandy Patinkin - the lyrics are all perfectly enunciated by Barrowman and I actually know what this Che is saying/singing! Quite a relief. Otherwise, far too many duets, should have been called the DUET COLLECTION or something, and I feel short-changed. Being a Barrowman fan, i don't know why Think Of Me is even included, since he barely contributes to it. Instead, my suggestion would have been eliminating the duet aspect, those few lyrics sung by the male - "Could it be, could it be Christine?" - and had Barrowman sing the lead himself, in place of the soprano. If this CD is supposed to be a selection of Broadway/West End show tunes, I don't think it succeeds, as the production is far too intimate. In short, this CD is strictly for fans, like myself, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise, as I think it was sloppily put together to cash in on Barrowman's recently acquired television fame.
