I recently added this to my collection after our church organist played Pachelbel's Canon in D major for an offertory one Sunday afternoon. Why was this standard piece missing from my collection? This is a very familiar melody that most folks will recognize whether they know classical music or not. This CD is a good, solid recording with no tech giltches that I could hear. Bravo to the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields.

If you like "beautiful" music, you will not be let down nor disapointed. Set the table with fine china. Pour a glass of your most treasured wine and light the candles for a fine dining experience with some of the world's finest music!
