Music Review: Dull some more.

This CD features old Christmas carols played on hammered dulcimer. Many people probably don't know what a hammered dulcimer is. It sounds somewhat like an autoharp, but the strings are hammered with mallets, instead of plucked. The songs are all instrumental with no voices. The dulicimer in supported by guitar, flute, piccolo, violin and harp, although not all of those instruments appear on every song. The dulcimer usually plays the melody on the songs, although sometimes the other instruments take over the lead. Joemy Wilson is obviously a great dulcimer player, but I found the album to be rather boring. A bit too genteel for my taste, I'm afraid.
