Music Review: Great voice caught with mediocre songs

1. The Impossible
This is one of the best songs on the album, you've probably heard it if you listen to country radio but it's about the Impossible happening (duh) from his dad crying to his handicapped brother walking again, to getting back together with his girlfriend. Great song, nice slow song.

2. Joe's Place
An OK song. A little too repetitive, nice song that'll get your feet tapping or get stuck in your head.
3. Brokenheartsville
I might be a little more impartial to this song if it wasn't played about a million times on the radio. It's really starting to get annoying, but it was a good song before it got worn out on the radio

4. She Only Smokes When She Drinks
Probably my favorite song. Nice slow ballade, catchy tune, great overall song.

5. Everything's a Thing
One of the strangest songs I've ever heard, still trying to figure out the lyrics, basically saying that you can't do nothing cause there's no such thing, everythings a thing. Great upbeat rockin' music.

6. That Would be Her
A little too slow, but another good ballade, another good song.

7. Cool to be a Fool
My least favorite song. I hate the repetitiveness and the really stupid lyrics.

8. Can't Hold a Halo to You
Generally weak song, really repetitive and too slow.

9. You can't break the fall
OK song with bad lyrics

10. You ain't Heard Nothin' Yet
Nice fast, upbeat song again about how the silence of a home without a partner is loud in your head. Kind of strange but good song.

11. Life don't Have to Mean Nothin' at All
Great upbeat not much music about just having fun in life and not having to do much to "make 47 million dollars a year.

12. Man With a Memory
Great song, second only to She Only Smokes When She Drinks. About when a man and woman break up you get a man with a memory and a woman with a past. Nice slow, flowing song.

His voice is one of the best I've ever heard. Displays it well in Man With a Memory, She Only Smokes When She Drinks, and Everything's a Thing. Some of the songs lack the quality that Joe deserves. Maybe next time Joe will pick a few better songs to display his outstanding voice.
