Music Review: Put This Album on Your "Must Have List"

This album has a phenomenal sound! I believe it is a preview into the future of country music, and I also believe, the artists and musicians (in Nashville) had better take notice. These are the most innovative "cutting edge country" musical sounds that I have ever heard, and they are weaved with precision throughout the songs (musical genius). They have created a modern mini country orchestra (many instruments) that throws the whole gambit of "rich" sensory sounds at you while you listen to solid country lyrics. "It is the future", and I believe the near perfect amazon.com reviews are a testament to this. Almost every review is 5 star, with the highest of praise. Although I feel the musical sounds are the backbone of this album, they do not stand alone. The lyrics are outstanding, and the vocals superb. Jo Dee Messina may not match the expression of Faith Hill, or have the richness (in voice) of Martina McBride, but this 1999 CMA Female Vocalist contender has an incredibly appealing voice and vocal style. This voice has an instantaneous beeline to my nerves, and some of these tones and sounds rattle around in my head for days. I consider her voice the most captivating voice in Nashville. There are no weak tracks on "I'm Alright", and every song (if released) would probably become a top 10 hit. My favorites would be, "Even God Must Get the Blues", "Silver Thunderbird", and "No Time For Tears". This may be the finest album produced in the last two years, and my highest accolades go out to the person (McGraw or Gallimore, or ? ) who created this "country" album with the "state of the art" country sounds. Unquestionably, 5 stars. Put this one on your "must have list".
