Music Review: Excellent -- Except for the Explicit Lyrics!

This is one of those CDs you never tire of hearing. However, the wrapper should have an explicit lyrics label for the two f-bombs that the producers felt were necessary to include. Good thing I listened to it before sharing it with my young grandson! Apparently, the authors of the musical wanted us to know that the Four Seasons were rough kids from a rough neighborhood, so they sprinkled the Broadway musical with about 50 "bad" words so that we would "get it". Hey, writers, we get it. That's what a good story and actors are for.Music Review: JERSEY BOYS ROCKS BROADWAY!!

Jersey Boys (2005 Original Broadway Cast)
The best Broadway Cast album in years! All Four Seasons songs have updated arrangements which make them sound better than the originals. The medleys are sensational. The actor who plays Frankie Valli, John Lloyd Young, is incredible. It's the hottest ticket on Broadway, they are impossible to get unless you are willing to spend $250 or more but for $10 you can hear it all on this CD.

I live in the south...I will miss the oportunity of actually seeing this show...I saw the Jersey Boys New Years Eve Night 2007 on TV.
I went to U-Tube to view their performance again.
My commute to work is 45 min and I'm singing all the way with the "Jersey Boys"....I cannot get enough of their sound....and of course, I was a big fan of the "Four Seasons" in the 60's....

Music Review: A one-of-a-kind Man's Man Musical

It breaks my heart to admit it, but I listen to the JB Broadway CD more than the original 4 Seasons recordings. The diction is cleaner and the arrangements are fresher and crisper. What makes the Broadway CD irresistable is the way it captures the energy of the show.
About JB, it's a Man's Man musical in a way that South Pacific or Les Miserables failed to resonate with male audiences. People fall in love with JB because it makes a relevant statement about friendship and choosing friendship over money.
Music Review: Jersey Boys Takes You Back To The Theater

Finally got the CD after seeing the touring company show for the third time (it's that good!) in Seattle and glad I did. It's a lush studio production by the original cast, complete with brassy horns, twangy guitars and thumping drums, plus a few snippets of dialog to tie things together. It's not a rehash of the entire show, just some highlights but, if you've already seen it, the songs will take you back like you were in the theater all over again. The perfect CD for cruisin' down the Jersey Turnpike, or the I-5.
