Music Review: everyone saying this defines hip-hop are sheltered

i always heard from all my friends (except one who loves them but he also thinks little jon and chingy have skill, enough said)that these guys were horrible but i decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and listen to them before i judged, so i listened to this CD cause its supposed to be their "best", speech cobras is the only track worth the 4 1/2 minutes to listen to it. they are okay if you're compairing it to 50 cent, but dont think its great just cause its "underground" and different than what you hear on MTV, different doesnt equal good.
yeah its gritty and raw sounding with samples, but if you want to hear underground that is actually worth listening to pick up some Del(and the rest of the hieroglyphics), the Grouch and Eligh (and the rest of the living legends), Blackalicious, People Under the Stairs, Freestyle Fellowship, or Zion I, to name a few.
if you like the jedi mind style, maybe you should try out Swollen Members or Arsonists they have a simular sound but they actually have skill. i saw jedi mind in concert cause they were opening for living legends and they were awful. i listen to almost evey kind of music you could think of and this is bad, bad beats, bad lyrics...just plain bad. dont let them use they're mind tricks on you

have to revise my review, like i said yes if you compair it to mainstream its pretty good, but it cant hold a flame to some real underground heavyweights. and by the way "surewhatever" your thinking of the wrong tour im talking about the "classic" tour for living legends that just came a few months back. so maybe it should tell you something when the "main attraction" is opening for someone else then less than a year later open for them once again. is just stupid just look at the reviews he sited its all by non-underground publications and they are not even compairing them to people that are in the same buisness. besides reviewers are very bias about music, plus use your own dang brain and stop reading what others say about it thats what is wrong with the commercial rap today. and i did find others who agree, just look at teh other amazon reviews basically this guy has no idea what he is saying. not a single person has said how well they compair to better underground because none of them know about any. get some good underground and just forget about these guys, anyone who is in the underground scene would agree. and im not trying to act all high and mighty cause i come from portland or anything im must trying to educate others as i was educated years ago about the great music that is out there but will never be on the radio, and thats sad.
