Music Review: A Collection of Some of Jamie's Slower Songs

I really like Jamie Cullum's music; however, that said, if you already have "Twentysomething," "Frontin'," and "Catching Tales," you do not need to buy this CD which is a compilation of some of his slower tunes from other discs. The tunes aren't bad, or anything, but they are not done like a different version from their original cuts on the albums. So, maybe I should put this as, if you do not have anything of Jamie's, or simply want a CD of his slower tunes, this is for you.
The disc is not on the Verve label, so I am not sure why it was issued. If I sound puzzled, I am, but I do hope the review helps. I know if I had read this, I wouldn't have bought it because I have all the cuts from the original discs.

Description of Devil May Care
Jamie Cullum's Pointless Nostalgic album was a worldwide hit when it was released in 2002 and Jamie is now recognised as one of the top stars in the jazz/mainstream scene. An integral part of his success was his association with Geoff Gascoyne and Sebastiaan de Krom - his long time rhythm partners. Now this Candid Vignette turns the spotlight on this association by showcasing the input of composer/arranger Gascoyne alongside the impeccable drumming of de Krom. As well as highlighting these skills throughout, this set also features two classic tracks which Cullum recorded with Geoff Gascoyne's band. Brian Wilson's famous God Only Knows, and Love Won't Let Me Wait, the soul classic written and recorded by Major Harris slot seamlessly into this set and the mood is immeasurably enhanced by Gascoyne's skillful string arranging.
