Music Review: Passion on strings Rating: 5 Stars
If you appreciate string instruments of any kind, you need this set. She is unequaled. Especially memorable is her playing on Beethoven's 'Ghost' piano trio, with Pinchas Zuckerman and Daniel Barenboim. You can also see that performance on the 'Remembering Jacqueline Du Pre' DVD.
Music Review: Great conductor - great recordings. Rating: 5 Stars
I grew up in the 1940s attending Halle Orchestra concerts conducted by Barbirolli so perhaps I am prejudiced but these are most enjoyable recordings at a very reasonable price.
