Music Review: Many consider this to be Ismael Rivera's best album.

"Esto Si Es Lo Mio" is rightly viewed by many as Ismael Rivera's best album ever. The hit singles "Las Caras Lindas", "Ella No Merece Un Lanto" and "A Medias No" all became Salsa anthems of their era and are instantly associated with "El Sonero Mayor". Ismael was at his best here but (if that's not enough!) check out the killer coro of Adalberto Santiago, Ruben Blades, Tito Allen and Hector Lavoe. Any serious salsero needs to have this CD as it's a true masterpiece on all counts.

Perhaps the best set of classic Maelo tracks ever released. Ismael Rivera was one of the very best interpreters of Afro- Caribbean music. His warm and swaggering voice was one of the most adored of all soneros by fans from all countries. His uncanny ability to improvise gave him the title 'Sonero Mayor.' This album includes the evergreens 'Las Caras Lindas,' 'Dime Porque' and 'Mi Negrita Me Espera.' This collection is the best starting point to sample thetalent of the late great 'Maelo.'
