Music Review: Tribal Vibes with the Inlakesh touch

Normally, I don't like accompanied didje, but this CD is an exception. All of the background was skillfully chosen and neither intrusive nor hokey (you know, that badly-put-together synthesizer stuff). However, as in at least one of their other CD's that I know of, there is one "new agey" section which I do not particularly care for simply because it is hokey, and the whispering also seems to disrupt the flow and concentration of the CD.

One more thing: There is a track on the CD with some Tuvan throat singing. If you have not heard Tuvan throat singing, I would be the first to tell you that it sounds great with a didje (the underlying principles are much the same). And if you have, then this should be incentive for you to buy this CD.

All in all- good didje playing, comparatively good accompianing ambience/instrumentals, good CD.
