Music Reviews of All That We Let InMusic Review: Not bad but I miss the stronger vocals Rating: 3 Stars
I love the Indigo Girls but this particular album was a little disappointing.Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the cd overall but if you're buying Indigo Girls for the first time I think there are better choices. The best way for me to describe it is that they didn't have any punch when they were singing. All the vocals sound a little muffled(drowned out) when compared to the music. Perhaps it was mixed poorly.
Music Review: Great album Rating: 5 Stars
I take issue with the Amazon review of this album. I guess one person's "irritating" is another's "inspiring." The harmonies are fantastic, the songwriting is on par with anything they've done in the past. Check out "Dairy Queen," "Tether," and the title track for a taste of the album's range. Oh, and Ms. Nash? Emily's last name is Saliers.
Music Review: A true musical treat. Rating: 5 Stars
The first time I listened to the CD I dismissed it. Then I started to listen to it as I programmed and I began to appreciate the musical talent behind this fantastic duo. Not only are they truly gifted musicians, but they are poets in the truest sense. Their profound and thoughtful lyrics reminded me of Jackson Browne in his youth. I am now a fan!
Music Review: Go to the show Rating: 5 Stars
a remarkable achievement in music. This disc is filled with powerful and emotional songs that truly come to life in a live setting.
These girls have worked hard through the years to constantly deliver their uniquely lovely and enduring music to those who will listen.
They've become masters of the genre that they created.
Music Review: Back to the basics but far from basic Rating: 5 Stars
IG fans will appreciate the fantastic blending of Amy and Emily's voices that is the foundation of a great IG album. The first song that caught my ear was the title track "all that we let in" but after listening a few times through others are beginning to draw me in. As always, a multi-layer masterpiece.
