Music Review: If You Can Get By The Sound Quality....

This is not a bad album, 3 1/2 stars, decent song variety combined with tough & gritty performances. The original Stooges live? What more could a real fan ask this cd is really only appropriate for buyers who are already committed Iggy fans. If you know Iggy, dig Iggy & love Iggy, adding this to cart is pretty much a no brainer. With so little decently recorded live material available, this cd is a must, must buy (I suggest going zShops or eBay for a more palatable price). However, the slightly above average "bootleg quality" sound (along with the hefty price tag) on this release might scare newcomers from making any further explorations/purchases of Iggy's music. Buyers interested in adding an Iggy Pop album to their collection (and ya' gotta have at least a few) will be more pleased by purchasing the single disc "Nude & Rude" best of collection or for a few more dollars, the superior "A Million in Prizes: The Anthology". If you are not a fan of "best of/anthologys" add the classic albums "Raw Power" and "Brick By Brick" to your cart. These are arguably two of Iggy's best albums and will get you started on the right track.
