Music Review: An excellent recording.

I cannot think of anything better to say than the caption on the album itself: "A tender soiree, a romantic tete-a-tete, the anticipation of a jour fixe are what come to mind when listening to this album of fond reminiscences from a vanished but perhaps more colourful and intimate era. As an expression of a quite definite spirit of an epoch, the music on this recording is romantic without being sentimental, colourful but never flamboyant, and intimate whilst avoiding excessive stylisation."The music is beautifully played, and the recording quality is of the highest. It is definately a bargain at the twelve or so dollars Amazon.com is charging.
