Music Reviews of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Music Review: CD is USELESS if you can't play it!!!
Rating: 1 Stars

This CD is as useless as all the cheerleader comments on it (probably posted by paid shills). The FACT is that this CD is useless as anything other than a coaster if you can't play it and listen to the music you paid good money for. Don't get suckered by Disney -- don't pay good money for this CD that you won't be able to play in your computer, your car stereo, etc. Don't buy CDs that won't let you transfer your music to the mp3 player of your choice. Don't you want to be able to enjoy your right to transfer the music of this CD to your iPod and listen to it while you ride the subway or whatever? Who does Disney think they are to tell you how you can listen to music that you pay for? SCREW THEM. BOYCOTT DISNEY!!! DON'T BUY THIS CD!!!

Music Review: Harry's Best To Date, GET THE SPECIAL EDITION!
Rating: 5 Stars

I simply love this score. Every song is unique and yet they all fit together. They weave in so well with the film that it is almost outstanding. This is as epic as Lord of the Rings and yet unique to Narnia itself. Favorite tracks are "The Blitz", "Evacuating London", "To Aslan's Camp", "The Stone Table", and "The Battle". They are all so wonderful that it was tough to pick a favorite. Many people were worried about the pop-styled songs that play over the credits of the film, but they work well, and my favorite is "Can't Take It In" followed by "Wunderkind". I suggest you go see this film and get the soundtrack! (I recommend the special Edition) Wonderful job Harry! I hope you return for Prince Caspian!

Music Review: Brilliant minds
Rating: 5 Stars

This is one of the best soundtrack I've ever listened to.From the serene "Lucy Meets Mr.Tumnus"to the soaring theme found in many of the tracks,Harry-Greggson Williams does a masterful job at creating a magical Narnia.I listened to this nonstop when I first got it,and I still listen to it more than any other soundtrack.
The four(three really, because Winter Light is utterly detestable)songs at the end are reason enough to buy this CD."I Can't Take It In" is brilliant with Imogen Heap's incredible talent."Wunderkind" is so artful and expertly written,it has become one of my favorite songs.
So this soundtrack meets all the requirements for a great soundtrack-great theme, amazing creativity, and stellar songs.

Music Review: Great soundtrack!
Rating: 5 Stars

Track 12: "The Battle" seems to have two references to the "Kingdom of Heaven" soundtrack, also composed by Harry Gregson-Williams. I'm not faulting the soundtrack in any way, I just found it fascinating to hear the references cue in at the following times:

00:00 - 00:10, you hear Kingdom of Heaven's Track 10 "Battle of Kerak" (00:00 - 00:10)

~1:15 - 1:30, you hear Kingdom of Heaven's Track 09 "The King" (~3:35 - 3:50)

None of this detracts from the brilliant score, and I actually love both soundtracks for their richness and scope. Harry Gregson-Williams has done a great job with the Narnia soundtrack and it's definitely worth adding to your collection if you love film scores.

Music Review: Hmmm... I don't know...
Rating: 3 Stars

I would say that if you like Harry Gregson-Williams buy this. The music is definately great especially in Evacuating London and The Battle. In the Blitz it seems a bit contrived from John Williams. Some of th music is stunning but I'm disapponted they cut SO MUCH music from the movie. They put in those pop songs they played in the credits than noone cares about. They're starting to do that now and it bothers me that that space coud've been used to put more of the score. The pop songs are RUBBISH anyway.

Don't waste your money on this cd, the trailer music may sound appealing but there are really only a couple of tracks worth the money, ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!
