Music Review: Ok music... but not "Halford"

Halford released two singles from this album a few weeks ago "Get into the Spirit" and "We Three Kings" which, while not mind-blowingly great, were good enough to convince me to pre-order the album. I received the album yesterday, and listened through it a couple times. The whole album falls into the same category: "ok, but not awesome." Rob's voice is very underutilized throughout the whole album, and with the exception of "Get into the Spirit" none of the accompanying music was very "metal." But overall I was able to stomach the album with one exception...
"Christmas for Everyone" is painfully bad. I waited through the whole song hoping for some hard riffs or a guitar solo to come in, waiting for a high-pitched wail or scream from Rob, and what did I get instead? Chimes, bells, sleigh bell noises, weak guitar riffs reminiscent of a bad KISS song, and cheesy lyrics the likes of which can be found in any pop artist's attempt at a Christmas song (Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey come to mind...), and a honky-tonk style (read out of tune) piano banging away some melody that doesn't fit the song in the background. I wish I could un-listen to this song it was so awful. I can't even imagine the guys listening to this song saying:
"Yea that sounds great guys, really metal, I'm digging it. Oh wait! Let's get some more sleigh bells! And more chimes! More honky-tonk piano garbage! Oh and Rob don't sing too loud or use your vocal power at all on this track, ok great!"
I'm giving this a two out of five. Two things could have gotten this album another star:
1. They could have released it under another name. Had I not gone in expecting a Halford album I may have liked it more.
2. They could have not included "Christmas for Everyone"
