Music Reviews of Greatest HitsMusic Review: GnR SuperStar Rating: 5 Stars
Let me start off by saying, despite these over the top wanna be
rockers who would'nt know a presidency winning (guitar)rift if
it sat on their face.GUNS were, in every respect, the greatest rockband to ever to take the stage. Axl may have been kinda rough
on the edges, but the fact remains he still is one of the best of the best to ever hold a mic. Slash, that is a name that haunts Jimmi Hendrix in the grave. Slash is a force to be seen.
One of, no "the" best to strum a 6-string. the rest were lengends in themselves. some die-hard GnR fans say they don't
like the album because the GUNS didn't make a cent off of it.
But when you give a review of an album you don't take points away because the band didn't make $ off of it. You don't look at
that, you also do not look at if they were cover tunes or not.
You look at how well they were composed. Every single on there
is mastery of the instument and voice. If it were me, 2 or 3 songs would have been changed. but to a die hard GUNS fan like
me the could have sang yankee doodle and it would have been a
smash hit. Some have put down this album but praised Axl's
Chinese Democracy, in which only Axl of the original GnR is
present. To all those so called "die hard" GnR fans who don't like this album and can't seem to spell even the simplest words right: Clean out your ears and listen again.

Music Review: Judging the album Rating: 5 Stars
Yeah yeah yeah, all this was released before, and yeah yeah yeah, nothing new for real Gn'R fans, and yeah yeah yeah, the band didn't aprove it's release and yeah yeah yeah there are better Gn'R songs out there and many other bad things you can say about this album. None the less, if this is the first record you buy in your life, it's worth 5 stars. The product itself is great.
Great songs, Great attitude, amazing music, kick-ass lyrics, great singing, out of this world guitar riffs, awesome bass lines, good drums, all what you can always expect from Gn'R is here.
If you wanna know what real rock n' roll music is all about, well, needless to say you gotta get this album. In all honesty Appetite For Destruction is better all along, but none the less, you get a sample of all Gn'R's albums here. The raw and heavy feel of AFD, the feeling of Lies, the art and beauty of the USI I and II, and the attitude of TSI (which I don't know why people bash so much, is one of the most entertaining albums ever), and on top of that you even get a Rolling Stones cover which was never released before on a Gn'R record.
All and All, not bad, could have being millions of times better, they could have even added real unreleased songs like "Crash Diet" and b-sides like "Shadow of Your Love" and even live recordings from their "Live Era 87-93" which would have made this record far more entertaining. None the less, it's a great introduction to Gn'R to new fans, who will be impressed to hear this band at it's "best"...
Highlights: it's Gn'R.
Lowlights: nothing new.

Music Review: Good, but not complete... Rating: 4 Stars
This CD is good but it's missing a few songs that should be on here like Mr. Brownstone, Nightrain, etc. Overall, its a good greatest hits
Welcome to the Jungle: This is a no brainer, instant classic
Sweet Child of Mine: Great intro, great solo, one of the greatest songs ever
Patience: Slow but overall a good song
Paradise City: This song is a masterpiece from start to finish. One of the best if not the best Guns N Roses songs ever.
Knocking on Heavens Door: Good but gets old. Don't listen to it 60 times a day like my brother did or it will get old.
Civil War: Great lyrics and overall good song
You could be mine: This song is catchy and pretty good
Don't Cry: Very good song although it's at a slow tempo
November Rain: The best 9 minute song ever created and the last minute and a half is incredible
Live and Let die: This song is a cover but i like it more than the original one. Crazy fast paced tempos are what make this song cool
Yesterdays: This song is okay. Not the best but not the worst
Ain't it fun: I dont like this song
Since I dont have you: I dont really like this song either
Sympathy for the Devil: This song is a cover of the Rolling Stone's Sympathy for the Devil. Not as good as the Stone's version but this version aint that bad
Overall, if you're just getting into Guns N Roses, you should get the greatest hits or just get Appetite for Destruction.
Music Review: Greatest of their Greatest! Rating: 5 Stars
Singer Axl Rose guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Michael "Duff" McKagan and drummer Steven Adler formed one of the greatest and most controversial rock band of all time, GUNS N ROSES. They changed Rock for good, in the 80's when their rough, intensive hardrock came out. Full of scandals, fights and controversity marked them as the "Bad Boys" of rock music, but they were all blessed with talent. Axl Rose charismatic way of singing, and Slash simply of of the greatest guitarists of all time. Unfortunately nothing lasts forever, and Guns N Roses have been missing from the spot light for long. "Chinese Democracy" was supposed to be released for years now but is the most delayed album in history. Along the time we'll wait for it let's enjoy this greatest hits collection.
Some reviewers have complained about that there are too many slow songs and too many covers, however this collection is not missing out anything really. "Enstrangled" perhaps. Apart from that we get it all. The raw rock classics "Welcome to the Jungle" and "You could be Mine" trademark "Paradise City". The wonderful masterpiece "November Rain" the energic Love song "Sweet Child of mine" ballad "Don't Cry" and covers(which i find pretty good) like "Since i Don't Have You" and "Knockin on Heaven's door" and many more.
It's a complete collection of a legendary band. A good remastered album which i believe everyone should take a look at. Rock is not the same today and listening to these great songs keeps me thinking of the good old days. Recommended.
