Music Review: Nor ECM neither G.Trovesi are a garantee for success

I had great expectations from this album. I love both opera and jazz and I like some of G. Troves's releases very much.
I love what Jaques Loussier did with Bach's music,what Steve Kuhn's did in "Pavane for a dead princess" or what Branford Marsalis did in "Romances for saxophone", but this time the magic formula(classic+jazz)doesn't work for me.I guess I have to blame Trovesi(as I said I love some of his works, but I also dislike some of them) since I can't blame the operas.
So if you're not familiar with Trovesi's work, try to listen before you buy.
In my opinion this CD can appeal to Trovesi's fans who like also opera/classical music,I am not so sure how much opera fans will apreciate it.
