Music Review: Georges second solo album

After his much acclaimed "All things must pass" filled with unused compositions of George from his Beatle past this one is filled with fres new songs, recorded with about same artists as on his previous album.
George had settled im his big mansion Friar Park in Henley-on-Thames, UK but was still busy with the dismantling of Apple Corps and his Beatle past, this is illustrated by the song "Sue me, sue you blues", a rock song with some great guitar work.
The album starts of with the beautiful "Give me love ..." with beautiful guitar riffs that was the single from this album, a great track.
Than follows the most beautifull track "The light that has lighted the world", a religious track and there are some more tracks about religiuon, not so nice as this one though and of moderate quality.
Another great track is "Living in the material world", think this was also a single in the past.
What I also liked is the extra track "Miss O'Dell about Chris O'Dell a girl from Tucson that worked for Apple but also for George and Ringle fromo. You should read her book that is also available at Amazon.
All in all a great album in Beatle tradition!

Remastered reissue of George Harrison's "Living In The Material World" album, originally released in 1973. Contains the #1 Pop single "Give Me Love."Limited Edition CD+DVD comes in a digipack with a 40 page booklet. Deluxe booklet includes lyrics (some handwritten) and many additional photographs from the original session.
DVD Content: 4 videos and all visual content is previously unreleased. Features a new video for the ?'Living in the Material World?' track with footage of the original UK/US LP pressing. ?'Give Me Love?' performed live in Japan during the 1991 tour (in 5.1 surround sound and stereo). Along with unreleased versions of the songs Miss O'Dell and Sue Me, Sue You Blues.
