Music Reviews of Genghis BluesMusic Review: Unbelievable Rating: 5 Stars
I saw the documentary of Paul Pena's plight in trying to travel to Tuvan and the Throat-Singing competition he participated in. This soundtrack I hope helps preserve a bit of world culture - too often lost in the rush to Americanize/westernize and swamp the world in cheap pop.
Music Review: Haunting music from great artists Rating: 5 Stars
This music is almost certainly unlike anything else you've ever heard. The songs in this album are a rare treasure and document a beautiful art form. I also HIGHLY recommend the documentary DVD.
You will be missed, Paul.
Music Review: Absolutely Beautiful! Rating: 5 Stars
The music on this soundtrack is so beautiful and mesmerizing that it almost becomes haunting. From song one, this soundtrack takes you on a journey from America to Tuva and back again. A great addition to any music lover's library.
Music Review: Got to hear this Rating: 5 Stars
If you like the blues and tuvian throat singing you have got to check this out. Even if you are not a big fan of either it's worth checking out.
