The organ used in this recording has a bloated sound and the playing is very foursquare and stodgy. I'm currently searching for a better complete set.

Description of Liszt: Complete Organ Works

Unique four-CD set of a complete body of work by one of the great composers! Of Liszt's numerous organ works, only two or three are frequently heard in concert. Most of his other works are rarely played.

Stefan Johannes Bleicher (b. 1962) studied concert organ with Lionel Rogg and historical performance practice with Nikolaus Harnoncourt. As a result of his successful concert performances, his radio and television productions, and more than thirty CD recordings (all of which have been well received), he is considered one of the leading organ soloists of his generation. On this CD, Bleicher plays the Goll/Kuhn organ of the Linsebühlkirche. Disposition of the instrument is included in the booklet.
