Music Review: Priceless - Wunderlich in his prime, singing enchanting music

There is no need for a lengthy review here. If you know The Land of Smiles (technically, The Land of the Smile) or if you find Lehar's music in general to be tuneful and charming, AND if you like tenors with splendid voices who are also superb artists with great depth of feeling, buying this rare CD is a done deal. I have had this recording in my car's CD changer for months now and have probably listened to it a hundred times. Wunderlich's legendary stature was achieved in a career cut tragically short, but this recording justifies the legend, in spades. It will be thrilling to me as long as I live. If my CD were the last copy of this recording in the world, I would not part with it for any price. And I have rarely praised any recording or artist so highly. But there are many thousands of Wunderlich fans who feel just as strongly as I do, and they would all own and treasure this CD if it were distributed as widely as it should be.
