Music Review: There is nothing "bargain rate" about either the performances or the recording

Naxos have done the Kodaly Quartet proud in this recording. The sound quality is everything you could possibly wish for. And the Kodaly Quartet in their turn have done Haydn proud. I wasn't sure what to expect when I found this on TradeMe along with three other Haydn CDs at a price I couldn't resist, but I am absolutely delighted with it. Mike Powers and Robin Friedman state in their reviews here that this CD was awarded a rosette in the Penguin Guide to Compact Discs and this doesn't surprise me. As a chamber music "nut" I know this CD is going to be played by me again and again.
