Music Review: Always Perfect

I worked with John, many years ago, when he subbed for our guitarist at Knott's Berry Farm. He was an extraordinary player back then and even more so now. If I have a student who needs to know how gypsy swing is supposed to be played then this is the CD they should have. It's flawless! Notes are placed perfectly and articulately while the music maintains its appropriate smooth feeling. After performing this kind of music for thirty-nine years I can with complete confidence that Franco American Swing is the ultimate expression of this style!

This CD features Gypsy Jazz style music from John Jorgenson's new solo CD. Two cuts, "Blue Drag" and "Minor Swing" are taken from the upcoming major motion picture "Head in the Clouds" starring Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz. In this film John plays the part of Django Reinhardt.General CDs
