Forever the sickest kids EP "The weekend : friday" is indescribable. It has such a unique sound i have never heard in a band before its amazing. As a long time fan of forever the sickest kids i certainly have noticed that their music is ANYTHING but boring. They always like to mix it up and keep it fresh and they are never afraid to take chances. And they always end up with something amazing! In this EP most of the songs sound different from each other there's hip hop, rock, and pop. This is a good thing because it shows you that FTSK don't have to just stick to one style they are very versatile and no matter what genre of music they make it sounds awesome. With all of this they still have lyrics that have meaning in them. Most fun dance music doesn't have depth to it and most music with meaning and depth do not have a fun sound to them. Forever the sickest kids clearly has the best of both worlds. They are able to make an awesome song you can dance your butt off to at a party but when you hear the lyrics its something you can relate to and lyrics that inspire you. For example take it slow is something so many people can relate to basically its about a relationship problem because the girl wants to jump in everything too fast and the guy doesn't want to rush into everything. But at the same time with the depth of the lyrics its still has a sound that'll make you smile and a chorus you cant help but sing along to while blasting this song in the car "What did I do

Also Forever the sickest kids are more than just a band they are friends and it clearly shows through their music. I don't think forever the sickest kids were ever in it for the fame and fortune but for the sole purpose of their love for music and thats the reason why i love them so much. They are the kind of band you can never see selling out. They are original and true to their music and you wont regret becoming a fan. The whole band works together and there's no leader or frontman or anything like that. Most bands lead singers or in rare cases bassists are the only one people pay attention to, But in forever the sickest kids all of them get an equal amount of focus. Everything about this band is so unique i already spoke about their sound and the way they are all equal but the amount of people in the band and the instruments and all that also have a certain uniqueness to it. First of all there are three vocalists austin Bello, caleb Turman and Jonathan cook. Jonathan is the lead singer, caleb also plays guitar, and austin also plays bass. I mean if a band has 3 vocalists you can already tell they are great. marc stewart also plays guitar so so far we have 3 vocalists and 2 guitarists thats freaking amazing! Kyle burns is the drummer. And kent garrison plays the keyboards in the band And not many bands use the keyboard instrument. In addition to all that they still have songs produced on the computer as well so their sound is very different in an awesome way.
Aside from the band and the music itself the packaging of the EP is amazing. Its still completely worth getting the digital download but the real copy of the c.d. that comes in the packaging is so cool. It has a little calendar in it marked with all these important dates. It will totally get you smiling and give you a sense of how Forever the sickest kids are in real life.
Every single song in this EP is worth every single penny. It's not one of those albums with basically the same song / different lyrics. You literally get to hear so many different sides of forever the sickest kids and that's why i totally recommend purchasing this. As soon as i heard it was available for pre-order i ordered it within 10 minutes because i knew it was going to be a great EP because it was by forever the sickest kids. Right now i am at the edge of my seat waiting for The rest of "The Weekend" to come out because if its anything like friday ( i think its going to be even better) then its going to be amazing! =)
