Music Review: Don't Bother

As a professional performer I have one word of advice: Don't waste your money on this show. I have seen it performed with an excellent cast and thought it was the most boring waste of my time EVER! As I matter of fact, I walked out in the second act. Save your money and hope like heck that these fine people perform in something worthy of their talents!Music Review: Amazing talent, Highly innovative, Great Musical!

Floyd Collins is not like any musical I have ever heard. It's a new breed. The harmonies and lyrics feel like you've heard them before but you don't know where. The songs stay in my head for weeks, and I don't mind. One of the most innovative and fabulous musicals ever. I hope this guy does more soon, because I'm addicted.Music Review: Floyd

Floyd Collins is a powerful CD but not fantastic. The beginning tracks are long and pulled out far to long but songs such as "The Riddle Song" are truly great songs that should be remembered when thinking of musical theatre. This seems like an Off-Broadway show trying to be a full fledged Broadway show and it should be!Music Review: Brilliant! The future of musicals may not be all bad!

I bought this recording twice because I am afraid that one day, it may be out of print and unavailable, and I would not be caught without a copy of this. I agree with the rest of the 5 stars. The most important thing I think I can add, is that it is new, original, and a MUST SEE! For those on the east coast, time for a road trip. The highly acclaimed Signature Theatre in Arlington VA is now taking reservations! 703-218-6500. The show opens Jan 10th-Feb 20th. Go See It!
