Music Review: HOTTT...but provocative

For the most part,as a supporter of holy hip hop and Cross Movement, I'd like to say DITTO to the majority of posts I've read regarding my mayne Flame's debut release. I'm not going to go into detail about each joint because from start to finish the lyrics and production are airtight and the Lord is given much glory on this project. However, the only reason I gave this album 3 out of 5 is because my mayne Flame, in my opinion, put a damper on this project when he resorted to firing on denominational persuasions(Oneness Pentecostal,Charismatic,Word of Faith,etc) outside of his own(Baptist,Cessationist,etc)...and all in the same breath as the Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons,etc, to which I took an offense because when Cross Movement 1st blew up, most of their support(finances,concerts,etc) came from progressive Pentecostal/Charismatic churches. So when I heard him cappin' on prosperity, quotin' Hank Hangraaf's 'Counterfeit Revival, and pushing that the Christ of Oneness Pentecostals(in Whom dwelt ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily) is another God...when the whole Trinitarian vs Oneness debate is dead tired...I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, because originally, I was under the impression that Cross Movement was all about UNITY and the tearin' down of denominational walls. Much respect to Flame for puttin' it down, and I'll always have love for Cross Movement, but I'm not feelin' the divisive critique I'm startin' to see manifestin' in their message...particularly by way of Flame's debut. But oh well, if you're as open-minded a Pentecostal as I am to bump it regardless, or if you're as rigid a mainline denominationalist hip hop head as CM and their peeps...this one's for you. However, I recommend Da Truth's debut over this one because he come's correct and with the right heart & spirit towards the Body as a whole.
