This 5-CD box set that released last month (August 2007) is absolutely outstanding. The label, Brilliant Classics, is based in The Netherlands, and I hadn't heard of them before, but I now have their website bookmarked. While I'm not a professional musician, I have been playing guitar for 40 years, and I know a thing or two about classical guitar repertoire and musicianship. Several of the best-known, best-loved classical guitar composers, such as Joaquin Rodrigo, and, my all-time Guitar Hero, Mauro Giuliani, are represented in this set. I must mention the quality of the sound recording--it's DDD, which, I believe, means "Digital Master, Digital Mixdown, Digital Master." In layperson terms, it just means fantastic, clean, natural sound. Treat yourself to over 5 hours of superb guitar music. Enjoy!
