I can't say I really can recommend this to anyone other than hardcore Dilated Peoples fans. Evidence to me is a rapper who has a good enough cool vocal presence with the way he just naturally sounds, but I can't say his raps are really that memorable. Guys like MF Doom and Mobb Deep's Prodigy always have lines that seem to stick to your head but this dude doesn't really have that, I mean he flows good enough so it really just depends on the production. The only really stand out track is "So Fresh" because of the wonderful production by The Alchemist. Everything else is just pretty good to crappy. The man thing wrong with EP is what made Evidence's full length fairly forgettable, the production is just not there. Definitely listen before you buy.

The Layover features six all new tracks from Evidence, as well a DVD featuring the first full video collaboration between Jason Goldwatch and Evidence focusing on the theme of The Layover. The long-standing relationship between the two have created some of Hip Hop's most classic videos, including videos for Evidence's 'Mr. Slow Flow', and for Dilated Peoples' 'Back Again', 'Worst Come To Worst' and 'Work The Angles'.
