Music Review: Different, a new Everette Harp bud still the same.

Had to listen to this CD a view times before I started reading the CD inlay. Yes, I've noticed that this was more then "just" another Smooth Jazz CD, bud it didn't really hit me because the music was on the background, after reading it all became clear. Everette is moving on, he is maturing after 18 years of Smooth Jazz. He delivered a great Smooth Jazz JAZZ album which is more Jazz then he has done on his solo recordings ever before. Just listening to these short 30 second clips on Amazon does not give you the big picture here. My advice is to buy this CD and keep on listening.
The song "First Love" is actualy a great "in between" song, it is the link between his Smooth Jazz past and his new Jazz format. It will be track of my choice in the next episode of the SMooth Jazz Sax Show.
Besides my enthusiasm about this release, I do have to say that I hope that Everette will continue making "normal" Smooth Jazz, he's a master in that great genre as well.
