Music Review: Lovely, yet disconnected...
Rating: 4 Stars

I am a DEVOUT Enigma fan and have all the albums, but...

I loved the entire album and the direction Cretu took with it. The erie sounds of what I can only describe is someone playing a saw! That was quite an experiment, but a little overdone. The very first song was great, until is ended too soon, it just seemed like there was more to the song that didn't or wasn't developed. My favorite song would have to be Goodbye Milky Way. I fantasize about being in outerspace, and this song sings my hearts desires in an enduring way.
I wouldn't rate this album as one of my favorites (that would be Voyageur,) but it is definitly a great addition to my collection of Enigma albums

Music Review: Great album! Nothing short of "The Enigma Sound" we love!
Rating: 5 Stars

I give this album 5 stars because the songs are varied enough that they contain all the elements we love about Enigma. Slow, Medium, and Fast electronic/melodic music. This should have been the follow up in 2003 instead of Voyager. I love Voyager but most traditional Enigma fans couldn't get used to the pop-style on some of the tracks. This would have pleased them more. Voayger, IMHO, is ahead of its time.

In my opinion 1996's "Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!" is still the best Enigma album, but this one is still a top-notch album with many great songs. I wish the original version of "Hello! And Welcome" was on here instead of the non-vocal version.

Music Review: change of heart.....
Rating: 5 Stars

I gave this album a rather harsh review after only having listened to it several times, but after putting on the headphones and drifting into that limbo between consciousness and sleep, I discovered how lovely this album is. Don't compare it to the previous works- it's very different, but still very much Enigma. It's an album that really benefits from headphones, because only then can can you pick up the subtleties and complexity of the composition, which at first may seem very simple. At first, there seems to be little distinction between the songs, but this also changes after repeat listenings. It's a great trance album and a great Enigma album. Give it a chance.

Music Review: Enigma's comeback
Rating: 4 Stars

1st album of Enigma was a masterpiece. Second was not as good, but great. The rest were not worth listening to (in my opinion). After about 15 years of producing, frankly, junk Cretu is back with a new album I enjoy and listen to a lot. It is not the classic Enigma - this horse has been beaten to death already - but rather a new, more electronic direction with some Enigma sounds and hints. I think this is the right direction for Cretu - there simply will never be another "MCMXC A.D.". This album proves that he does not need another "MCMXC A.D." to give his fans wonderful music to listen to. Cretu should go and explore new worlds - we all know he can!

Music Review: Disappointing
Rating: 2 Stars

Compared to the past releases this is the most repetitive and there is no creative 'breakout' in any of the songs. Once the song starts.......this is what you get throughout the song. No big tempo changes that Cretu was famous for in the past. Previous songs would stop on a dime in some cases and move into a completely different direction that were literally awe inspiring. None of that here.
Enigma has become no different than any of your other run of the mill trance artists. It's the Enigma sound but compositionally it is boring. This may be a good 'dance' album but that's it. Not inspirational at all.
