Music Review: Elvis At His Best!
Rating: 5 Stars
Literally hundreds of Elvis live concerts have been released, both by RCA and the bootleggers, but this is one of his all time best. Released just one year after his famous "Aloha" concerts, this performance is superior in every way. Elvis is full of good humor and sounds very at ease with his hometown fans. It's a shame this album sold so poorly in comparison to "Aloha," This is one of the very few Presley albums to win a Grammy, for the inspirational powerhouse "How Great Thou Art." His vocals on that song and songs like "Tryin' To Get To You" are nothing less than awe-inspiring! If you're a new Elvis fan and would like to add a few live shows to your collection, then this is a fine place to start!
