Music Review: Ella and Johnny-what a pair!

Ella Fitzgerald could sing a lyric better than any other female vocalist. And Johnny Mercer could write a damn good lyric. So put them together and you have magic. This Songbook is not as popular as Ella's Gershwin or Cole Porter albums, but it should be. True gems of the Great American Songbook.
A must-own for any fan of Ella Fitzgerald or American popular song.

I am very much into American composers of the 20's, 30's and 40's and I love the way Ella Fitzgerald interprets them, so this addition to my library is great. I also love being able to find CD's in great condition at really reasonable prices.Music Review: A Great Combination
