Music Review: Amazing Interpretations

When piano compositions are performed by choirs, the result is not always pleasing. This CD is an exception. Having played most of the compositions and having to deal with the unique harmonies, I was very pleasantly surprised at the effect that a legato soprano can create. "Last Spring" is a most moving and beautiful performance. The lead soprano has the voice of an angel. Some liberties were taken with the notes... some were left out and some added. This does not take away from the wonderful lyricism of which Grieg is so famous. If you are a fan of fine choral music you should buy this CD. You many find it to be one of your favourites. A superb CD. The performance deserves a standing ovation.
